Artistic collaboration with Dmitri Vrubel<\/strong><\/em>, internationally known artist and author of the iconic Berlin Wall mural \u201cMy God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love<\/em><\/a>,\u201d addressing political imagery, historical memory, and contemporary media environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration developed in dialogue with materials from the KARAGODIN Investigation<\/a><\/strong>, which served as a conceptual reference point for artistic exploration. Vrubel engaged with the themes of the investigation and proposed various approaches to their visual and conceptual interpretation through contemporary artistic media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work included discussions and experiments with digital artistic forms, virtual environments, and conceptual installations<\/strong>, exploring how historical investigation can be translated into contemporary visual culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration included conceptual work and online performance projects exploring political symbolism, visual culture, and the transformation of historical imagery in contemporary media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, Teatr.doc<\/strong> in Moscow staged the play Sweet for Memory<\/em>, written by Russian writer and playwright Viktor Shenderovich<\/strong><\/em> and based on materials from the KARAGODIN\u00ae Investigation<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the performance, Denis Karagodin<\/strong><\/em> participated in a public discussion with the audience together with the playwright Viktor Shenderovich<\/strong><\/em> and Varvara Faer<\/strong><\/em>, director of Teatr.doc. The conversation addressed the historical context of the investigation, questions of political memory, and the transformation of archival research into theatrical narrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFuneral of Stalin\u201d<\/em> (\u041f\u043e\u0445\u043e\u0440\u043e\u043d\u044b \u0421\u0442\u0430\u043b\u0438\u043d\u0430<\/em>) was a large-scale theatrical performance directed by theatre director Kirill Serebrennikov<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, combining stage performance, artistic interventions, and public readings by invited participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project explored themes of political memory, historical violence, and the legacy of Stalinism<\/strong> through the staging of a fictional public funeral for Joseph Stalin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denis Karagodin<\/em><\/a> participated as one of the featured speakers of the performance<\/strong>, presenting materials from the KARAGODIN Investigation<\/a><\/strong> and addressing the historical context of Soviet political repression. His participation was included in the official program of the event and presented on stage as part of the performance structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
