Introduction

Denis Karagodin is an independent researcher and media theorist working at the intersection of political history, social philosophy, archival research, and documentary systems.

He is best known as the founder of the KARAGODIN^® Investigation, a long-term project examining structures of state violence, bureaucracy, and historical responsibility in the Soviet and post-Soviet context, and the developer of the STEPINQUEST^® framework for investigative and documentary research.

His work focuses on ideology, political narratives, and the media-bureaucratic mechanisms through which power, repression, and historical memory are produced and contested.
