My Instagram Account was Blocked

Instagram account @karagodin before it was blocked

My Instagram account (@karagodin) was unexpectedly blocked by the platform despite no violations of community guidelines.

I have maintained this account since the early years of Instagram and have never violated any rules. After the account was blocked, I contacted support and even provided a verification photo holding a code, as requested. The response I received stated that the account had been “blocked for violating community guidelines”, although I have not violated any such rules.

I then created a new account, which was also blocked shortly afterward.

How can I restore my Instagram account?

I would greatly appreciate any assistance in restoring my original username and account – @karagodin

P.S.

My backup Instagram account – @karagodincom

I will not be publishing content on this account, as I do not consider it acceptable for my work to be subject to potential removal at any moment. This account will be used solely for reading and maintaining a formal presence on the platform.

Updated

Ultimately, on April 6, 2026, I was informed through an institutional communication channel with Meta that I am now permitted to register a new account under the username @karagodin; however, the original account cannot be restored, as it has been permanently deleted. At the same time, attempts to claim @karagodin continue to fail, as the username remains unavailable.

This situation is regrettable.

Resolution

I successfully reclaimed the username @karagodin on April 10, 2026.

Special thanks to politician Ekaterina Shulman — she helped resolve the situation through negotiations with Meta. My account is mine again.

The old photos are no longer there, as the account was restored from a deleted state, but that’s not a problem. I will create a new stream of images and presence.

Update 01.07.2026

Мой актуальный акканут сейчас это @karagodincom
